Ingredients
  

  • Base
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Pizza Layer
  • cups pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings Optional
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • ½ cup diced bell peppers
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives
  • Tater Tot Topping
  • 1 32 oz bag frozen tater tots

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Cook the meat
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground meat with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain excess fat.
  5. Assemble casserole
  6. Spread cooked meat evenly in the baking dish. Pour pizza sauce over the top.
  7. Add toppings & cheese
  8. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and add desired toppings.
  9. Add tater tots
  10. Arrange frozen tater tots evenly on top.
  11. Bake
  12. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until tater tots are golden and crispy.
  13. Serve
  14. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
