Ingredients
  

  • 20 oz fresh or refrigerated tortellini cheese, meat, or spinach
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream or marinara sauce
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Optional Add-Ins
  • Cooked chicken or Italian sausage
  • Spinach mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh basil or parsley

Method
 

  1. Cook tortellini in salted water according to package directions; drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.
  2. Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat; sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add cream or marinara sauce and simmer gently.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Add cooked tortellini and toss to coat.
  6. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
  7. Add proteins or vegetables if using.
  8. Season to taste and serve immediately.
