Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Tear croissants into large pieces and spread evenly in the dish.
- Sprinkle chocolate evenly over the croissants.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the custard evenly over the croissants, gently pressing them down.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes to absorb.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until golden on top and just set in the center.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
