Baked German Pancake

Ingredients
  

  • 3 large eggs room temperature
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat the Oven
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish or oven-safe skillet and put it in the oven to melt.
  3. Make the Batter
  4. In a blender, combine eggs, milk, flour, salt, and vanilla. Blend until smooth and slightly frothy.
  5. Bake
  6. Carefully pour batter into the hot, buttered pan. Return to the oven and bake for 18–22 minutes until puffed and golden.
  7. Serve Immediately
  8. Remove from oven and serve right away with desired toppings.
