- Arrange apples in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook until tender and lightly browned, shaking or stirring halfway through.
- Remove and let rest briefly before serving.

Use apples that hold their shape, like Honeycrisp or Fuji.
Start with less sweetener—apples become sweeter as they cook.
Avoid overcrowding to prevent steaming instead of caramelizing.
